Is a car essential?
Yes it is useful for food shopping and also for sight seeing locally. There is a local bus service into Antella from whence there is a regular bus into Florence. But this is time consuming. We recommend a car and can indicate where best to park in Florence.
Children friendly?
The Courtyard Wing /Casina is child friendly and we can provide 2 cots and 2 high chairs. We do not recommend children under the age of six in the Torre as the architecture is not suitable.
Pets?
We love animals but regret no pets allowed.
Pool Season:
The pool is open from 1 June to 30 September though we will lengthen the season on request. The pool is not heated and is on a salt purifying system so it is delicate on the skin and no chlorine smell.
The A1 motorway [Milan to Rome] runs close to the property in a cutting and is therefore not visible nearby but only in the distance. It is audible in the garden.

We are happy to food shop for your arrival if you will send us a list. Otherwise shopping either in Osteria Nuova or Antella is pleasant as there are many food shops. NB shut on Sundays apart from one small Supermarket at Ponte a Ema [3 kms] open sun 8.30 -13.00
The delivery apps do not deliver to this area. Antella has one pizzeria that delivers.
Heating:
The heating is not included. We ask for a deposit, read the meter on arrival and departure and calculate the expense and refund any difference. Logs for the fire in the sitting room are complimentary.
Air Con:
Not possible in this medieval building. Fans are provided. The Cubo bedroom does have air conditioning.
Concierge:
We have a list and can put you in touch with chefs, cookery classes, guides, hiking, biking, and much more...please enquire.
Can we rent the Torre di Sopra for an event?
The house is unique, and if used in the right way can be a spectacular venue.
Can we rent the Torre di Sopra for a Wedding?
The property is not set up as a wedding venue, but is an ideal spot for the bride or groom to encamp in, with friends and family. We are happy to recommend our favourite local wedding venues.
