Staying at Torre di Sopra

Torre di Sopra is a private family home — designed, restored, and lived in with love.

It combines the intimacy of a house with the space of a small hamlet: stone walls, gardens, and courtyards unfolding around a 12th-century tower.

Here’s what to know when planning your stay.

 

Accommodation

  • Sleeps 12 guests comfortably (8 in four double rooms and 4 in twin rooms)

  • 3 additional beds available for flexible sleeping — up to 15 guests in total

  • The courtyard wing is ideal for families; the tower suits adults and older children

  • Children under six welcome in the courtyard wing only

  • Air conditioning: not possible throughout the medieval structure; fans provided in all rooms
    One creative bedroom — “Cubo” — has air conditioning

Outdoor Spaces

  • Saltwater pool (open April – October), maintained weekly

  • Outdoor dining for 15 guests under the loggia and in the courtyard

  • BBQ and chef’s kitchen garden with seasonal herbs and vegetables

  • Table football, ping pong, and badminton

  • Olive terraces and lawns for children to explore

  • Pool and garden maintenance carried out discreetly by our local team

Heritage

Torre di Sopra was restored in 1975 by architect Bruno Sacchi as his family home and studio.
The restoration unites medieval architecture with the light and geometry of modern Italian design — a timeless dialogue between old and new that continues to define the house today.

Practical Notes

  • Pets: not permitted

  • Minimum stay: 1 week (Saturday – Saturday)

  • No delivery apps: local pizzeria in Antella delivers; other services (Deliveroo, etc.) do not reach the property — by design

  • Compost heap: available for guests wishing to reduce waste and give back to the garden
