Local Area
One of Torre di Sopra's greatest pleasures is its setting.
The house feels wonderfully secluded among olive groves and gardens, yet everyday Tuscan life is just moments away.
A five minute walk brings you to Osteria Nuova, where you'll find a well-stocked neighbourhood food shop and a much-loved local pizzeria and restaurant.
Five minutes by car (or around thirty minutes on foot) is the village of Antella. Here you'll discover cafés, bakeries, a butcher, greengrocer, delicatessen, pharmacy and a small supermarket, along with several excellent restaurants. Every Thursday morning, the village hosts a traditional open-air market.
Unlike many holiday destinations, Antella is a genuine working Tuscan village. It's where locals meet for coffee, shop for fresh produce and gather in the piazza, offering visitors an authentic glimpse of everyday life.
Please note that most food shops are closed on Sundays.
