A Thousand Years. One Remarkable Transformation.

First recorded in 1070, Torre di Sopra began life as a medieval watchtower in the hills outside Florence.

In the 1970s, architect Bruno Sacchi transformed the abandoned building into his family home, introducing a bold modernist vision within its ancient stone walls.

Suspended staircases, unexpected perspectives and his distinctive tagli di luce, cuts of light, create a dialogue between past and present.

Still in the family today, Torre di Sopra invites guests to experience this remarkable house for themselves.

A House to Make Your Own.

Slow mornings. Long lunches. Records playing. Books left open. Evenings around the fire.

A place to gather with family and friends, cook, explore Florence, wander through the Tuscan hills or simply do very little at all.
