A Thousand Years. One Remarkable Transformation.

First recorded in 1070, Torre di Sopra began life as a medieval watchtower in the hills outside Florence.

In the 1970s, architect Bruno Sacchi transformed the abandoned building into an extraordinary family home, bringing a bold modernist vision to its ancient stone walls.

Suspended staircases, unexpected perspectives and his distinctive tagli di luce, cuts of light, create a dialogue between past and present.

Still in the family today, Torre di Sopra welcomes guests to experience this extraordinary house for themselves.

A House to Make Your Own.

Slow mornings. Long lunches. Records playing. Books left open. Evenings around the fire.

A place to gather with family and friends, cook, explore Florence, wander through the Tuscan hills or simply do very little at all.

More than somewhere to stay, Torre di Sopra is somewhere to feel at home.
